Adidas teamed up with The Pokémon Company to start 2020 with a monster-inspired collection.
Two iconic pop culture brands, but from very different segments, have just come together to start 2020 with a very welcome collab. Adidas is launching a collection inspired by the Pokémon anime together with The Pokémon Company International.
The collection recalls the early games of the retro Pokémon franchise in 8-bit graphics and features the famed classic Adidas jacket adapted for “Pokémon Trainer”, along with t-shirts featuring the well-known Bulbassauro, Squirtle, Charmander and Pikachu, gym badges and a Sneakers starring the yellow mascot.
The news comes from Adidas news site itself, which indicated the date of January 1, 2020 for the collection to reach the brand's e-commerce. However, it is not yet possible to find the clothes on the site even when searching for "Pokémon".
