During its CES 2020 conference, Google introduced some features that will reach its voice assistant this year. The Google Assistant has stood in front of rivals such as Alexa , Siri and Cortana , which has contributed to the expansion of the company's ecosystem in the smart devices segment.
Here are some of the key features Google Assistant will gain in 2020.
1. Easy connection of compatible devices
Soon, the digital assistant, on your smartphone or Google Home, will be able to identify a new compatible device and will issue a notification, making it easy to integrate with other equipment without having to set it up from scratch.
2. Program on / off devices
Instead of going to a product's settings to schedule its firing, you can use Google Assistant to do so. Using Google Home, you can schedule a time for your coffee maker to make coffee, the vacuum cleaner to start cleaning the house, or the lights to go out. In all, 20 handsets can be scheduled by voice commands.
3. Adhesive Notes
If you don't use sticky notes with reminders, you certainly know someone who is adept at this facility. Notes keep people engaged with their chores and commitments, but they don't always have a notepad and pen handy. You can now create sticky notes using your Google Assistant-compatible smart display. Just say something like, "Hey, Google, make a note that I've been with the dog today" and the information will be available on your device screen so everyone at home can see it.
4. Quick Access List
Google Assistant can access your contact list to make calls for some time. But with the speed dial feature, you can create a quick list with nicknames that can be used by multiple people in the same environment. For example, it's easier to say "Hey, Google, call your pediatrician" than to remember the doctor's name.
5. Easy access to privacy
According to Google, in a few weeks you will be able to access digital assistant privacy settings through voice commands. Users will be able to ask how their data is used, choose to join (or leave) the voice sample recording program, and even ask them to delete the information.
6. Content reading
Another feature that will be introduced in 2020 will be reading entire web pages. Just open a website and say "Hey Google, read it!" And the wizard will read all the content using a natural voice. The company is also working to insert a feature that highlights the portion of text being read as the page scrolls automatically. You will also be able to translate publications for up to 42 languages.
